“Rise up and walk”

Are you worried about any personal problem that you face for a long time? Are you suffering from some incurable disease for quite some time?  Is your dear one is on the sickbed for a long time without any hope, having been abandoned by the doctors? Are you facing any financial problem over a long period of time, with your neck deep in the waters of debt? Are you or your loved ones being oppressed by the Devil? Are you not able to serve God in His vineyard effectively either due to some financial crunch or due to some obstacle placed by the Devil? Are you awaiting a better placement in your career  for a long time? Are you on the look out for some green pastures for your business which is now running in loss? “In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk” (Acts 3:6)  Rise up and walk” is the word of prophecy for you.

Christ Jesus has already finished His work on the Cross of Calvary for you.  He will not again go to His Cross for your deliverance.  Christ Jesus died on the Cross not only for our great salvation but also for delivering us from our sicknesses and problems.  All you have now to do is “rise up and walk”.  By faith, you have to take the first step. If you are now sick with no relief after undergoing all kinds of medical treatments, as you read this message, just rise up and walk in His Name.  If your dear one is on the sickbed, you may lift up and make him/her walk in His Name.  If you face a personal or a financial problem, you should now thank and praise Him for His wonderful work for you on the Cross. If you are on the look out for a better placement in your career or a change in your business,  you should now start applying  or looking for new avenues. As you walk by faith, believing that the Lord has already performed this miracle for you on the Cross of Calvary, you will experience this miracle in your life or in your ministry to the Lord.

I am not talking of positive faith or faith healing. You have not seen or heard about what the Lord has prepared for you since the beginning of the world. You have to simply discover through your spiritual eyes the things that the Lord has already prepared for you. “…since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him’ (Isa.64:4).

“Rise, take up your bed and walk”

Let us now meditate on John 5:1-9. This passage tells us about the healing of a certain man “who had an infirmity thirty-eight years” near a pool at Bethesda. This man was waiting only “for the moving of the water” because it was believed that an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water and that whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had. Alas, what happened? Whenever the angel stirred up the water, he could not get into the pool and another person stepped down before him.

Now Jesus goes to Jerusalem to attend a feast of the Jews. Though there was a feast of the Jews, Jesus was very eager to go the pool at Bethesda.  His primary concern was to meet a lone man at Bethesda, and not to attend the feast. Upon reaching the Bethesda pool, Jesus sees a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water.  Jesus fixes His eyes on this particular person, and not on the multitude. Knowing that this man had been lying there in that condition for a long time, Jesus asks him, “Do you want to be made well?” He tells Jesus that he had no man to put him into the pool when the water was stirred up.

Jesus says, “Rise, take up your bed and walk”. Immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked.  And that day was the    Sabbath.

Dearly beloved, are you that man who has been suffering from an incurable disease, having been abandoned by your kith and kin and by the doctors? You have lost all your faith because before your very nose you had witnessed many people being healed in healing crusades. You had sought the intercessory prayers of many evangelists. But you were disappointed. Jesus is very much concerned about you because you have suffered a lot in your life, and that too, for a very long time.

The man at Bethesda was alone there because his own people forsook him.  But Jesus had not forgotten him but had come there all the way just to meet that single man. Like that man, you are now at the Bethesda pool waiting for a miracle.

HE NOW COMES TO MEET YOU, IN A SPECIAL MANNER.  HE NOW COMES TO HEAL YOU THROUGH HIS OWN HANDS, AND NOT THROUGH THE HANDS OF AN EVANGELIST. What you have to do is rise, take up your bed and walk in Jesus’ Name.  And you would be healed. Amen.

Have the vision of Jesus Christ coming to you at the pool at Bethesda. HE NOW COMES TO MEET YOU, IN A SPECIAL MANNER. AS YOU READ THIS MESSAGE TODAY, HE NOW COMES TO HEAL YOU THROUGH HIS OWN HANDS, AND NOT THROUGH THE HANDS OF AN EVANGELIST.

If that man under the Old Covenant was healed by Jesus, the Son of God before the shedding of His precious Blood, how much more you can experience the touch of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit Who indwells you under the New Covenant. For you, the pool at
Bethesda is the Calvary and you can experience His healing power under the shadow of His Cross today. It is neither my intercessory prayer nor your prayer but the personal touch of your Master at the Calvary that can bring about a great blessing in your life.

WILL YOU PLEASE COME TO THE
CALVARY TODAY WITH A BROKEN HEART? CONFESS TO HIM, "LORD, I TRUSTED IN THE PRAYERS OF OTHERS, THINKING THAT A MIRACLE COULD BE PERFORMED FOR ME. NONE COULD LEAD ME TO YOUR HEALING POWER. TODAY, LOSING ALL MY HOPE, I COME TO THE POOL AT BETHESDA, THE PRECIOUS PLACE OF CALVARY".

What you have to do is rise, take up your bed and walk in Jesus’ Name. And you would be healed. You should now act on your faith, believing that Jesus Christ has touched and healed you near the pool at
Bethesda. Do not look at the evidence of healing. But keep looking at Him in faith. Tell others that you have been healed by the touch of Jesus Christ.

Five loaves and two fishes

Please meditate on Mark 6:30-42 prayerfully.  During His earthly ministry, Jesus was always “moved with compassion” for the great multitudes that followed Him, “because they were as sheep not having a shepherd”.  Apart from teaching them, He also met their physical need of healing and of food.  In this passage, we read that the disciples wanted to send the multitude away because they were in a deserted place, and that too, the hour was already late.

Dear minister, do you want to send away the people to whom the Lord wants you to minister simply because you do not have enough resources at your disposal to minister to them, owing to the spiritual wilderness of your ministry?  Since the burden is cast on your shoulders to minister to the multitude, you would say, “I have no enough bank balance” or “No enough funds are forthcoming for my ministry”.  You may be wondering as to how you can carry on your ministry due to paucity of funds in your organization, which has since become a desert. Christ said to His disciples, “Give ye them to eat”.  Similarly, you have to minister to them in this wilderness.

You must have definitely some money in your pocket or in your bank.  This is exactly “the five loaves and the two fishes”.  Normally, one hungry person can himself consume all these five loaves and two fishes.  What about the multitudes to whom you have to minister?  What about the multitude of children in your orphanage?  What about the multitude of missionary workers in your organization?  What about the multitudes of lost souls in your evangelical mission field to whom you are supposed to give the Heavenly Manna?  What about the thousands of the people of God in the universal body of Christ to whom you are supposed to minister?

Do you think that the five loaves and the two fishes in your hands are enough to minister to the great multitude?  Say “Amen” today.

With the five loaves and the two fishes, Jesus fed, through the hands of His disciples, five thousand people.  What is pre-eminently required is not enough money in your pocket but “compassion” in your heart for the multitudes.  First, you have to make necessary arrangements for the people to receive such great blessings from God.  Jesus “commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass”.

The green grass means the abundant grace of God. You may ask the needy people of your organization to sit down on the green grass. Ask them to be disciplined in their place of work, be it mission field or office.  Tell them about the abundant grace of God available to them in the Name of Christ Jesus. If you have been led by the Holy Spirit to arrange an evangelistic crusade, you may go ahead with the arrangements without  waiting for the funds to arrive. If you have been led by the Holy Spirit to construct some church building, you may go ahead with your plan without waiting for the funds to arrive. You may be running a commercial organization, which has since become bankrupt.

What you have next to do is look up to your Father in Heaven, and thank Him for the five loaves and the two fishes in your hands. Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. He will perform similar and even greater miracles for us today through the ministry of the Holy Ghost.

“The Lord hath need of him”

Christ Jesus sent forth two of his disciples to Bethphage and Bethany, telling, “Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him and bring him And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? Say ye that the Lord hath need of him: and straightaway he will send him hither” (Mark 11:1-3)

Christ is looking for those who are as meek as a colt on which no man ever sat. He is not looking for those who are the wise men of this world, who are as brave as a lion, who are as cunning as a fox, who are as mighty as an elephant, who are as proud as a race horse. A colt, when tied to a post, is not of any use. A colt is such an animal, which is abhorred by any body. The dictionary meaning of “colt” is also “an inexperienced youth”. In
India it is treated as an inauspicious animal, and is used by the poor people to carry their luggage, especially by washer men. The qualities of the colt are that it is so meek that it shies away from the crowd, and can carry any volume of weight on its back.

Are you that colt Christ is looking for? You may be an inexperienced person in God’s ministry with no flair for giving any sermon or for singing any hymn. Nobody has ever made use of you in any church or evangelistic ministry. You might not have even prayed in a group. You are always shying away from the crowd. But you love Christ and His Church from the depth of your heart. You always carry a heavy burden of prayer on your heart for the other people of God. Today Christ has found you.

You are as a colt tied. May be, you are tied to the responsibilities of your family. May be, you are tied to the responsibilities of a teacher in a school. May be, you are tied to the responsibilities of an executive in an organization. The Lord has found you faithful in your secular job. The Lord has now need of you. All these years, the Word of God was trying you in the furnace of afflictions. He has now chosen you for His great work. This message now comes to you. If anybody who raises any doubt about your calling, I want to tell that person, “The Lord hath need of you”.

When Samuel wanted one of the seven sons of Jesse to be anointed as the king in place of Saul, he thought that the Lord had chosen Eliab. But the Lord said unto Samuel, “Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart”. Similarly, the Lord rejected the other brothers of David. Finally, David, the youngest who was keeping the sheep, was paraded before Samuel. David “was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to”. But the Lord pointed His finger at David and told Samuel, “Arise, anoint him: for this is he”. Then Samuel anointed David in the midst of his brethren (ISam.16:6-13). Today, the Lord wants to anoint you for His ministry.

Prophetically speaking, Bethpage is a place where God finally chooses you for His ministry, after finding you faithful in the small things which He had entrusted you.

Are you that person that the Lord is looking for?

New thing in your life

Have you suffered a grievous and unbearable loss in your life?  Has the Devil stolen from you the good things like joy in your married life or your health or your wealth?  Have you been in the furnace of afflictions for a very long time, losing all your faith in our Lord?

The Lord now wants you not to “remember the former things nor consider the things of old”.  The things that existed till yesterday are the former things or the things of old.  You should not remember them today.  Because the Lord is going to “do a new thing” today.  “Now (as you read this message) it shall spring forth” (Isaiah 43:15-21).

He reveals Himself to you as “the Creator of Israel, your King”.  As the Creator of Israel, He creates absolutely new things – which you have neither seen nor heard since the beginning of this world (Isaiah 64:4).  This promise is meant for His chosen people.  He is your King, seated on a high throne above the worldly and the devilish kingdoms.

If you are a scientist or a research student redeemed by the blood of Christ Jesus, having spent many years in futile research, the Creator of Israel will now enable you to discover some thing new, absolutely new, in the field of your research which the children of the world could not invent.

If you are a businessman/professional redeemed by the blood of Christ Jesus who could not find any new ways in your business/profession, the Creator of Israel will now create absolutely new ways which the children of the world could not lay their hands on.

The Lord also reveals Himself as the One who makes a way in the sea, a path through mighty waters, a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.  He is a God of impossibility.

Do not worry any longer about the future of your son/daughter because He makes a way in the sea.  Where you could not find a way till yesterday, He now opens a way.  NOW IT SHALL SPRING FORTH.

Do not worry any longer about the mighty waters, threatening your married life.  In these mighty waters sent by the Devil, He makes a path for you.  NOW IT SHALL SPRING FORTH.

Do not worry any longer over the constant existence of a spiritual wilderness in your life for a long time even after your spiritual birth in His Kingdom.  This may be the barren condition of your womb or your financial bankruptcy or some “incurable” disease afflicting you or your dear one.  The Lord makes a road in this wilderness for you.  NOW IT SHALL SPRING FORTH.

Dear minister of God, you need not worry over the spiritual desert in your church with no hope of revival amongst the congregation members or over the spiritual desert in your evangelistic ministry with only a few souls being saved every now and then.  The Lord makes rivers in the desert for you. Pease note that it is not a river but “rivers”. There will be a revival in your church.  Thousands of people will be saved through your evangelistic ministry. Your ministry will overflow with a mighty anointing of His Spirit and your empty coffers with an abundance of finances.  NOW IT SHALL SPRING FORTH.

Calling us “My people, My chosen”, the Lord tells “This people I have formed for Myself.  They shall declare My praise”.  True, you are going to declare His praise to the entire world after experiencing the “new thing” in your life.  He gives waters in the wilderness and rivers in the desert to give drink to His chosen people.  If you are doubtful about His promise to you, He now challenges you “Shall you not know it?”.

“I will go before you….”

I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, the Lord, Who call you by your name, am the God of Israel” (Is.45:2-3).

There are indeed crooked places in your life. Oh, you have been struggling all these years to straighten these crooked places on your own but have miserably failed. Despite your best efforts and hard work, you are unable to reach the desired goal in your life, because of these crooked places. The Lord is now going before you and is making these crooked places straight. Doors, which were closed once and for all, would be opened because the Lord Himself is making these

crooked places straight by His Right Hand.

There are indeed gates of bronze, which stand in your way all these years, like the Red Sea before the fleeing Israelites. The devil has erected these gates of bronze. In the past, you did try your best to break these gates with the help of your friends and relatives but in vain. You are wondering why these gates of bronze are still before your eyes like the wall of Jericho, despite your earnest prayers. And you have lost all your hopes in God, owing to frustration and despair caused by these gates of bronze. Today, the Lord is going before you and is breaking in pieces these gates of bronze by His Spirit so that you can go ahead and possess the Promised Land in your life.

Are there bars of iron in your life, preventing you from progressing in your life? People around you have placed these iron bars in your business/career so that you are not able to produce the desired results. You have struggled a lot to cut these iron bars. Today, the Lord is going before you and is cutting these bars of iron by His Spirit so that you can achieve the desired goal.

In addition, the Lord will give you “the treasures of darkness”. All these years you have been treading on the path of loneliness, frustration and despair; tears have been your meat due to severe afflictions in your life. But the Lord has kept “treasures” for you, which He has brought out of this darkness. These treasures are His blessings in abundance. He restores seven times all that you have lost in your life when you passed through the valley of darkness.

Out of His secret places, He has brought forth “hidden riches” which nobody else could find or which you have never imagined of. A torrential rain of His anointing, not merely a few drops of dew of His anointing, will come upon you so that you can fly to greater heights in your life and ministry. The bondage of the devil will be broken. These riches were hidden from you when you were passing through the furnace of afflictions. These hidden riches will be peculiar to you.

By doing the above mighty things for you, the Lord, who calls you by your name, will prove that He is the God of Israel who led the Israelites to the Promised Land.

“Come to the wedding!”

Let us meditate on Mathew 22:1-5. Jesus said, “The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son, and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come. Again, he sent out other servants, saying, “Tell those who are invited, “See, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding”. But they made light of it and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his business…”

In this passage, we read that the king, out of his love for his people, not only invited a select group of people to the marriage but also sent His servants to call them personally. The great tragedy was that the chosen people “were not willing to come”. But the king did not relent in his efforts and sent out “other servants” with a specific invitation telling the chosen people about the great benefits that could be enjoyed by them. Today, similarly, the King of Kings sends out His special invitation to His chosen people through “other servants” like me, reminding them of His dinner. Oh, beloved guests of the great King, your King has killed His oxen and fatted cattle. Are you in the midst of a severe financial crisis, unemployment or any other problem in your life? Why cannot you lift up your eyes and see what great blessings are in store for you in His Kingdom? “My oxen and fatted cattle are killed”, tells your King. The oxen and fatted cattle are symbolic of His great spiritual and material blessings that await you in His Kingdom. “All things are ready”, He further tells you. You need not strive any longer to get such ready-made blessings. You have to simply “come to the wedding”.

It is a pity that they “made light of” His repeated invitations and “went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his business…” Oh, dear wedding guest, as you read this message, are you hearing His small voice of invitation, bidding you to the marriage? Do not make light of it and go your own way. I quote a parable here. A five star hotel has thrown its door open to all the people in the town to get into it and eat the delicious food specially prepared for them. A blaring loudspeaker announces the grand invitation. But, a hungry man who passes by that side, makes light of this invitation and  goes hungry.

Let us forget our own farm or our own business today and take heed to his repeated invitations. We give priority to our own farms and businesses and relegate a back seat to Jesus in our life. Do you fall under the category of the people chosen for the wedding dinner who “were not willing to come”? Today, this final invitation comes to you bidding you to come to the “wedding”.

“Ye also go into the vineyard”

We read an interesting parable about the workers in the vineyard in Mathew: 20-1-16.  An owner of the vineyard started hiring laborers for his vineyard from the third hour onwards.  About the third hour, he saw people standing idle in the market place, and said to them, “Go ye also into the vineyard…”Like this, about the sixth hour and the ninth hour, he hired the laborers.  About their wages, he told them, “Whatsoever is right I will give you”.  Then came the crucial time of the “eleventh hour”.  The owner asked them, “Why stand ye here all the day idle?”  They replied, “Because no man hath hired us”.  Then he told them, “Ye also go into the vineyard…” All the four groups agreed for “a penny a day”.

The steward now disburses the wages to all the four groups.  All the members of the groups received the same wages of a penny a day.  Those who were firstly hired in the third hour and those who were lastly hired in the eleventh hour received the same wages.  The last group who had worked only one hour towards the end of the day and who had not borne “the burden and heat of the day” also received the same wages and were thus made equal to the first group who had borne the burden and heat of the day.

When the first group complained to the owner about this discrimination, the latter quipped, “Friend, I do thee no wrong; didst not thou agree with me for a penny? Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee.  Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own?  Is thine eye evil, because I am good?”  He added lastly, “So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called but few chosen”.

We are now in the eleventh hour, the 12th hour fast approaching. The Lord of the vineyard is asking you, “Why stand ye here all the day idle?” If you tell Him, “Lord, I have been hired neither by any church nor by any evangelical organization”, He will tell you, “Ye also go into the vineyard”.  This call in the eleventh hour comes to you, dearly beloved in Christ.  It is you and none else!

You will also be given the same implements to work in His vineyard.  You will be given the same anointing, the same power, the same gifts and the same resources, which had been given to those servants of God who have been ministering to God during the last three decades or so.  You will have to simply go into the vineyard and do the work assigned to you by the Holy Ghost.

The input is your labor in the vineyard.  The wages are the output.  The output will be measured in terms of the number of souls saved, the number of people blessed through your ministry, the number of signs and wonders performed through your ministry, etc. After going to the field, you may sow the seed, plant the seedlings or water the plant, as the case may be, but it is God who gives the increase (I Cor.3: 5-8).

The laborers of the previous groups, the servants of God, whom you know have been toiling in the vineyard right from the third hour.  Their output will also be the same as yours.  We are in the eleventh hour, which means the last days.  At the strike of the 12th hour, the work in His vineyard will come to a standstill. And you will never get the opportunity to serve your Master in His vineyard.
