“…. They overcame him (the Devil) by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony….” (Rev.12: 11)

In this page, we are publishing testimonies of persons who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior, and who have experienced miracles in their lives. Those who want to publish their testimonies are requested to send their testimonies to us.

Signs and wonders take place in our Indian mission fields where our missionaries belonging to Friends Missionary Prayer Band, Indian Missionary Society, Indian Evangelical Mission, Blessing Youth Mission, Nesarin Thottam, Vishwa Vani, Indian Evangelical Team, etc. are engaged in pioneer evangelism, preaching the glorious gospel where Christ is not named. Signs and wonders take place in these mission fields. The Name of Christ Jesus is alone glorified; no individual name of any servant of God is glorified. The Acts of the New Testament continue to take place in these mission fields. These missionaries live in places where they do not have the minimum comforts of this life. Some of them died due to non-availability of timely medical help. Despite severe opposition from the fundamentalist Hindu organizations, they serve the Lord faithfully and sincerely, radiating His love. In their lives, they have only one consolation.  Their children are studying in a mission school, Santosha Vidyalaya, founded by the famous missionary woman of God, Emi Carmichael, at Dhonavur, Tirunelveli District, Tamil Nadu, and staying in the hostel of the said school. You can read testimonies concerning miracles, martyrdom, and ministries of these dedicated soldiers of Christ in this page.

Home-call of 3 precious servants of God in India

"Jesus is the God who speaks"

(Testimony of a person who was opposed to Christ)

I am Senthil Kumar, hailing from a town called “Thatchanallur”, Nellai District, Tamil Nadu, South India.  I was born in a Hindu family and was devoted to the Hindu gods.  I was addicted to alcohol and was indulging in all kinds of vices like rowdiness, theft, adultery etc.  I had developed an utter hatred towards Christians and their meetings.  In connection with an evangelistic crusade of an evangelist, namely David Steward, wall-posters were pasted on the walls in my town.  In exasperation, I tore to pieces the wall-posters.  I was regularly praying to my gods to deliver me from my sinful life.  But the sin and its pain abounded in my life and I could not get any deliverance.

When Christians proclaimed the gospel of Christ promising peace and joy, I became angry and thought that the work of these Christians was to covert Hindus to their religion.

In my personal life, I was facing manifold problems like indebtedness, etc.  I had decided to end my life.  Sitting alone in a place, I started planning as to how to commit suicide.  At that time, a man who passed by my side told me, “Jesus would help you”.  Immediately a thought came to my mind that when my gods could not help me, how this Jesus could help me.  However, a new hope descended on me.  A Christian cottage prayer meeting was on in a nearby house.  Out of curiosity, I wanted to see what was happening there. When I climbed the stairs to reach that house, a hymn was sung: “I have entered the fort of the Blood of Jesus.  No harm will be caused”.  This song penetrated my heart.  I participated in the prayer meeting.

After the meeting, one person started talking to me, “Jesus is the God who speaks”.  Due to my blind faith and zeal for my religion, I retorted, “my gods will also speak”.  I then left the prayer meeting with a question in my mind whether my gods would really speak.  In the night, I said myself “Let the true God speak to me tonight”.  Like this, three nights passed and no God spoke to me.  Afterwards, the words spoken by that person, “Jesus is the God who speaks” rang in my ears.

The same person again met and asked me whether Jesus spoke to me. I replied, “Let Jesus call me.  He has not yet done so”.  Upon this, he told me, “You should seek Him with all your heart”.  I said, “Yes”.  During that night, I cried unto Jesus with a heavy heart and then slept.  At about 4.30 a.m., I heard a voice calling me by name. I woke up but could not see anyone.  When I looked up, I heard a voice “I am your God”.  My body shivered and I developed a fear.

Afterwards, a great miracle happened in my life. My father, who was inimical towards me, and who was not helping me, came to my house and gave me money, with which I was able to clear all my outstanding debts. Then, the same Christian brother took me to the Assembly of God Church in Vannarpettai where I accepted Jesus as my Savior and took water baptism.  I then pasted the wall-posters in connection with an evangelistic crusade held in my town (with the same hands which had torn the wall-posters earlier) on the same walls.

From Human Sacrifice to the Cross

It was a day in April, 1997.  The sun was setting and the moon starting on its course.  We were on our way to Savi village to proclaim the gospel.  Surrounding us was a thick forest and breezy wind was reviving our spirit.  We were praising God all our way. The villagers, after the day’s labour, were slowly settling down for the night’s rest.  Some were staggering under the influence of liquor.  For those who showed interest, we shared the gospel.

Having finished our mission, we were returning home.  We had to pass through Jorpada village.  As we were passing through the village, a strange voice demanded our attention. We wanted to see what it was.  There was a man on seeing us, shouted, “you are the one I am waiting for to offer as a sacrifice”.  We began to tremble but summoned courage calling on the name of our Lord.  That very moment, the Lord brought to our mind the verse in John 3:16.

I told the wicked man, namely, Karya, “you think you are strong because you offer sacrifices to God.  But what you are doing is wrong.  Your sacrifices will not bring forgiveness of sins to you.  Only Lord Jesus can forgive you and remove the burden of your sin, and give you eternal life”.  The man’s spirit was stirred up by what we told him. He picked up the conversation and it went on for nearly an hour and half.  The gospel message we shared with him greatly moved his heart.  Finally, he confessed his sins and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior.  He shared the good news with his friends and led them also to Christ.  Today Karya is called “Abraham”.  He is a powerful witness for Christ.

(Acts of apostles continue in India……)

Splendid work of a woman missionary in India

Halmoodi Church is the first Church in Gujarat, since we began our ministry there in 1975.  This church passed through many trials and tribulations.  Madhu Bhai was the first fruit of our ministry.  When the opposition broke out here against church construction, Madhu Bhai’son, Navasu Bhai went to jail four times.

Due to intense opposition and persecution, the church construction activity came to a halt for five years.  However, when the situation improved, it was resumed, completed and dedicated on 7-7-2002 in the Sunday service.  The Bishop of CNI Gujarat Diocese dedicated the Church for God’s glory.  The dedication service took place amidst tight police security.  About 2000 believers had gathered for the celebration.  Rev.Israel Devadoss, and Rev.Johnson Barnabas were honored for their pioneering missionary work in this area.

When the participants went on a procession, the women in the procession virtually carried Sister Mary Stella on their shoulders, overwhelmed by the splendid missionary work done by her in their place, and they were dancing all the way.  Tears of joy swelled in the eyes of the participants and the spectators.

Stood firm in faith and died as a martyr

Kali Bhai and Nav Dev couple was living as secret Christians at Sadarpada village, Kalyan, Maharashtra State, India. Yet they faced several trials and persecutions.  Their son Gnaneshwar, however, finished his college studies and while he was on his way to join a job, the opponents of the Gospel surrounded him at Kalyan and killed him.  Before killing him, they asked him to worship an idol.  But the boy sternly refused to do so.  He died as a strong witness for the Lord.  He is now rejoicing in the Heaven, sitting in the bosom of our Lord. Let us pray for the consolation and comfort of his parents Kali Bhai and Nav Dev.

Home call of 3 precious servants of God in India

Paul wrote in I Cor.4:9, "For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men". Though all the human beings are appointed to death in this world, God has set forth the apostles also to death but as a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men. They die in distant mission fields due to accidents or diseases or martyrdom. They come into the vineyard of God and leave it unsung by the Christian world. They are like flowers which blossom and then wither away unnoticed by men, birds and animals. But it is God who makes them blossom and wither.

Their death is a spectacle unto the world. The world which does not know Christ cannot understand the mission of apostles. The angels who enjoy the heavenly bliss cannot understand the sufferings of apostles in their bodies. Paul, the apostle, rejoiced in his sufferings for the body of Christ. He filled up "that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ" in his flesh for His body's sake, which is the Church" (Col.1:24). The men who rule the kingdoms of this world also cannot understand the mission and sufferings of apostles. Only Christ and His Church can understand the secret of the lives of apostles whom God has set in the Body of Christ in the first place.

The apostles are those servants of God who serve their Master in places where there are no churches and where the people have not heard the gospel. I find today many people call themselves as apostles who are in places which have already been evangelized. They are not apostles appointed by God.

One apostle, namely, Mathialagan Moses, of Indian Missionary Society, served the Lord in the state of Gujarat, where the Christians are being persecuted. On 17-6-2005, this beloved brother along with his 2 year old daughter Stephi and wife, accompanied by a local evangelist, namely, John Ghanpat, was returning to his village in a three wheeler which was driven by another local evangelist, namely, Sardar Mansook. Master Thomas, the 12 year old son of John Ghanpat was also accompanying his father in the same vehicle. Their vehicle collided with a van "Tata-Sumo" with the result that the missionary along with his 2 year old daughter and the local evangelists along with the 12 year old son of John Ghanpat died. Mrs.Rosy Moses, the wife of the missionary was admitted to the hospital with serious injuries. She is now recovering. The bodies of Moses and his daughter were airlifted to Chennai and buried in their home town, Karur in Tamil Nadu. The bodies of the local evangelists and the son of the local evangelist were buried in their respective villages.

The home-call of the servants of God along with their precious children came to us as a great shock.

Certain Greeks who had come to worship at the feast desired to see Jesus. Philip informed Andrew about this and Andrew and Philip then informed Jesus. Jesus answered them, saying, "The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. He that loveth his life shall lose it: and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. If any man serve Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, let him follow Me; and where I am, there shall also My servant be: if any man serve Me, him will my Father honor…." (John 12:21-26)

When the Greeks came to see Jesus, He gave them a message of loss and death, and not a message of life and joy or prosperity. He told them about the consequences of following Him in unambiguous terms. He did not promise a life of ease and enjoyment. He told them that a corn of wheat had to fall into the ground and die.

The home-call of the above servants of God along with their children reminds us that a corn of wheat has to fall into the ground and die so that much fruit is brought forth. God could have protected His servants from this accident. But in His wisdom, He allowed them to fall into the ground and die. I believe that through the sacrifices of these servants of God at the altar of God many people would be born into the kingdom of God in Gujarat.
